Since 1947, homegrown local produce has been grown and harvested on Shelton Farms in Southwest Lower Michigan. Initially, fresh fruits and vegetables were sold under the shade of three enormous native white pine trees in the farm’s front yard. Today we still farm local produce on the original 40 acres plus a few hundred more. We also purchase locally grown fresh produce from selected farm neighbors and friends and offer it in our retail farm market in Niles, Michigan. Plus, we distribute to fine restaurants, hospitals, universities and other national and independent retailers within a radius of nearly 150 miles. If you’ve eaten fresh local produce in Southwestern Michigan or in Northern Indiana, chances are it came from Shelton Farms.
